Recipe | Banana Bread

This banana bread is highly requested and goes fast when I make it (which is pretty often these days). My teenagers and toddler gobble it up quick, which is definitely a compliment.

Here’s what you need to make my banana bread:


3/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup margarine
1 egg or 1/4 cup egg beaters
2 ripe bananas
1/4 cup buttermilk or plain yogurt
1 1/2 tsp vanilla
1 1/4 cup flour
1/2 tsp each: baking soda and salt

And here’s how you make it:


Heat oven to 350 degrees. Mix dry ingredients together in small bowl. In another bowl, mash bananas and stir in vanilla and yogurt.

In large bowl, cream together sugar and butter, then add egg and banana mixture. Slowly stir in dry mixture.

Bake for 25-30 minutes.
